Taylor Swift is not just known for her mega-hit songs but also for her unique and iconic looks, but like most other celebrities, the singer too has fallen prey to plastic surgery speculations time and again.
The Anti-hero singer is currently busy with her Eras World tour, following the release of her 2022 album Midnights.
Taylor Swift is occupied performing a power-packed concert almost every other night for her fans.
The Grammy winner has produced many hit songs in her more than a decade-long career. Some of her greatest all-time hits are Style, Blankspace, Delicate, Love Story, Shake It Off, and more.
However, despite all of her amazing music, her dating life and looks still take up a lot of space in conversations about the star.
Like other celebrities, Taylor too has fallen prey to various false plastic surgery speculations over the years. As the star is touring the world, some have been discussing her appearance on Twitter.
However, her fans have come to her defense whenever these rumors have popped up.
In fact, a few years ago, a famous actor spoke in defense of Taylor when a publication wrote about the false plastic surgery rumors.
The Modern Family star has been a vocal supporter of Taylor for a long time. She also spoke in defense of the Grammy winner when in 2017.
Glamour reported that it all started after Life & Style magazine wrote a piece about Sarah’s looks and alleging plastic surgery. The publication later updated the piece.
However, an angry Sarah responded to the article saying, “I have had the worst medical year of my life, and to create an article surrounding the question of if I’ve had plastic surgery is the MOST insulting thing. Adding insult to injury.”
Sarah then responded to a similar article about Taylor. A seething, Sarah wrote, “CAN YOU F*****G STOP?!?! Let’s empower women instead of judging their looks,” she tweeted.
“There’s more to us than that. Guess you can’t teach stupid…” she continued.
Taylor has not addressed any of the speculations surrounding her looks. However, HITC and GRV Media reached out to her representative for comment.
In the Netflix documentary, Miss Americana, Taylor spoke about the effect comments on her body and photos had on her. In one clip, she says in a voiceover: “It’s not good for me to see pictures of myself every day.”
She added, sometimes in the past she’s seen a “picture of me where I feel like I looked like my tummy was too big, or someone said that I looked pregnant… and that’ll just trigger me to just starve a little bit – just stop eating.”
Fans have also praised the star for speaking about it, and for her music video Anti-Hero.
One Twitter follower wrote at the time in 2020: “Taylor Swift talking about body image/ eating disorders in her new doco is literally the only thing that matters to me atm, god I love her.”
If you or someone you know needs support, there are many eating disorder helplines here to help. If you are based in the USA, you can call NEDA on (800) 931-2237.
All of our appearances change over the years as we age. Despite how god-like our favorite celebrities may look, they are no exception to this biological rule.
