The versatile actress was named Elizabeth BerkleyLauren when she was born in Farmington Hills on July 28, 1972, to parents Fred Berkley (lawyer) and Jere Berkley (gift basket business owner). She was raised in the affluent suburb of Oakland County, Michigan with her older brother, Jason. For her secondary education, Elizabeth Berkely was first enrolled in a private school, the Cranbrook Kingswood School, located in Bloomfield Hills, before moving on to North Farmington High School, where she finally graduated in 1990.
